Solisco makes it to the top three finalists for the Collaboration of the Year Award!

We are incredibly passionate about making a difference so that everyone can enjoy the true freedom that comes with renewable energy and zero-emission vehicles. We have a genuine goal to contribute towards protecting the environment, and by collaborating with Keele University, we are doing exactly this. We believe in the importance of establishing partnerships with like-minded individuals and pioneers, in turn, giving people true energy independence and fighting climate change!

As a result of our projects with the University such as the Smart Energy Transportation & Charging Hub project, and the Building Resilient Energy Generation for Small and Remote Communities in Small Island Developments project, we have made it into the top three finalists of the ‘Collaboration of the Year’ Award. sponsored by Siemens UK, with the awards reception sponsored by Engie UK.

We are incredibly proud of achieving this, through our work with Keele University. In the last year alone, we have created opportunities not only for businesses in the sector, both here in the UK and internationally, but also for students looking for industry links and greater awareness of e-mobility and the future landscape of sustainability.

The Breaking the Mould Awards received almost 70 nominations across eight categories from businesses that have collaborated with Keele through the University’s Business Gateway. The awards accumulate a collaboration of local enterprises that are the best in their field, shining a spotlight onto growing innovation-led organisations.

The award winners will be revealed on 17 October 2019 as part of the Breaking the Mould Awards celebration, which will be hosted by journalist, broadcaster and TV presenter Naga Munchetty.

Keele University is a public research university, placed 5th globally for Performance in Energy and Climate Change, 13th in the Global Sustainability League Table and 1st in the UK for Green setting and campus infrastructure. Keele University is now, as a result of our collaboration, on course to become one of the country’s leading R&D facilities for sustainability, energy and low carbon technologies.
