Our Year Round-Up
December – the time for presents, good food and spending time with loved ones. But for businesses, it is also a time to reflect on the last year; the highs, the lows and then what’s in store for the year ahead…
2017 has been an extraordinary year for us here at Solisco. From starting the company, establishing partnerships with world leaders in the Energy Sector and embarking on a number of high-profiled domestic and commercial projects, each month has brought it’s own success.
As a new start-up company, and with our ethos always at the forefront of our plans, we still have plenty to do and achieve. However, as we reflect back on 2017, we could not be prouder.
UK, to Switzerland, to LA
This year we have been extremely privileged to be part of a number of new and exciting projects. We are so passionate about our EV-Ports and we are so lucky to be have been able to take them all over the world.
For Tesla-owner Adrian in Switzerland, we came up with a bespoke design for a 3-bay EV-Port, beside his beautiful hundred-year old Chalet, overlooking the elegance of the Swiss mountains. We are looking forward to commence installation in Spring 2018.
Another exciting moment for Solisco was the collaboration with the award winning architect, Stephan Mundwiler, FAIA, and his firm leeMundwiler Architects. Stephan shares our passion for renewable energy and understands the clear benefits and advantages an EV-Port can bring. We are excited about the installation of a bespoke domestic EV-Port in Los Angeles, California, as well as talks for some commercial projects too.
However, these are just the tipping of the iceberg. In 2018, we are excited about the new projects that have been building in the pipeline, including our commercial EV-Ports in carparks across the UK, for both the private and public sector.
UK Construction Week – Energy
This year also saw us attend our first ever exhibition, and we really couldn’t have dreamt of the response we received.
UK Construction Week’s Energy Show 2017 was the UK’s largest gathering of construction professionals and welcomed over 650 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors.
Right from the start we received a huge interest from visitors and exhibitors alike, with one company even purchasing our EV-Port from our stand. On the final day of the show we were overwelmed to receive the ‘Energy Best Stand Award 2017.’
Overall, we were soo pleased to have made some highly valuable connections that will no doubt lead us to some great projects in the future.
For any startup, it can be a challenge finding the right expertise to enhance and bring value to your company. Without the incredible people we’ve been working with, it wouldn’t have been possible.
We are very proud of our new website and would personally like to thank Reckless for it’s creation. We are also currently working with them to create our brand new EV-Port Configurator. This will allow our customers to design their own Solar EV-Port in a real-time 3D environment.
New Digital Marketing Ltd have also been with us every step of the way. They carry out our Digital Marketing and SEO and we are extremely happy with the work they’ve produced for us. From print marketing, blogging and technical support, they continue to ensure we have a good presence online, interaction with our followers and the platform to get our message across.
We would also like to give a special thanks to a friend of mine, Baroness Of Solihull, Lorley Burt. Baroness Burt connected us with Ecuity; a specialist consultancy focused on sustainable policy. Ecuity have already helped us develop key relationships with local authorities, giving us strong Public Sector engagement. In addition, Solisco have been invited to attend specialised discussions on air pollution, decarbonisation and electric vehicle infrastructure, to give our insights and opinions. It certainly has been an interesting year to witness the quick acceleration of E-Mobility and the impact it brings to infulence change. And it’s great to have been a part of that!
Last but definitely not least, we would like to thank our partner companies. Without their innovative products, we would not be able to produce the high quality, high performing Solar EV-Ports that we are extremely proud of. GEWA, Mennekes, Solarwatt, Bluetop, sonnen, EVBox, and Schneider Electric continue to offer their advice, expertise and experience throughout our working relationships.
And of course, a huge thank you to Architect Stephan Mundwiler for his support, friendship and belief in our products.
The Electric Revolution
It seems the ‘Electric Revolution’ has been taken to the next level this year and we couldn’t be happier that more and more people have come on board. Furthermore, the Queen’s speech, the Government debate and the Autumn Budget have all demonstrated the positive support for the EV industry.
Here’s to 2018
Whilst under no illusion that there is still plenty to offer and achieve, despite being a small, unknown company at the beginning of the year, we are so thankful and proud of everything we have achieved over these last twelve months, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for 2018.
For now, whilst Solisco recharges it’s batteries, we would like to wish all of our friends, business partners, customers and followers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
